What is the equivalent to this in Suffolk..
We live in Nassau and are in the process of selling our house and we are moving out to (Western) Suffolk... excited, nervous, sad to be leaving...
We have the Nassau leisure pass and use it a lot for pools (indoor and outdoor) depending on the season, swimming lessons at the Eisenhower Park Aquatic Center for my kids, and exercise classes at eisenhower park for the adults too. You cannot beat the price...I guess since our town doesn't have a town pool this is ours.
I was just wondering if you have these things/facilities in Suffolk as well and where?! Do all towns have their own pools and programs or is their a big local one like eisenhower park/aquatic center.
thank you

Re: What is the equivalent to this in Suffolk..
I think because in Suffolk County Townships (for the most part) run the local pools and beaches, you would have to contact your respective Township to find out what they offer.
For example if you bought a house in East Northport ( where I live) it would be the TOWN of Huntington . Or if you bought in Ronkonkoma it would either be the TOWN of Islip or Brookhaven .

Re: What is the equivalent to this in Suffolk..
The towns have their own pools and park systems unless its a New York State park then you use the empire pass. What town are you moving to? We are in Western Suffolk in the town of Babylon. There are several town pools, a few splash parks, town beaches, swimming lessons through the town as well as dance, sailing, golf, guitar, and so much more. Also, if you live in the village of Babylon they have their own pool just for village residents not for town residents and Amityville has its own beach for Amityville village residents. Both of those offer swim lessons as well. Let me know if you need more info, not sure what town you are moving to but I could try and help you out.

Each township has its own recreation department and pools/beaches.
There are Suffolk County beaches and parks as well, but no pools.
Since you said western Suffolk, I assume you are likely moving to either town of Babylon or Huntington.
Here are link to both depts of recreation babylon

Green Key Pass: Purchase a Green Key card to enjoy reduced fees for Suffolk County park activities. You will also be able to access the automated golf and camping reservation system. The card will identify you as a Suffolk County resident. (Non-residents may purchase a Tourist Key Card for a higher fee than residents.)
You must purchase the card in person at one of a number of parks and you must bring two valid forms of ID with you. One proof of ID must be a photo ID with your address, such as a driver's license. A second proof of ID can be a Suffolk County property tax bill, Suffolk county property deed, motor vehicle registration, Suffolk County utility bill, Suffolk County library card or voter registration card.
In addition, each Town has facilities and each have their own fees and rules.
