My first loss (with some questions)
Hello my name is Jess. I have a dd who will be 2 in a week. I was about 7-8 weeks pregnant. We had heard our babies heartbeat last week at a strong 144bpm. About 3 days ago I started spotting. Yesterday it got worse. I went to the er and there was no hb. I woke up today bleeding really bad and passing some pretty big clots. My cramps are almost unbearable and constant. I go to my dr at 130 today to have a sono and discuss my options. For those of you who have gone through a natural miscarriage did you still need to take that pill to help move the process along or did your body just do it on its own? Also how long do these cramps and horrible bleeding last? I think I need some pain killers to get through this. Any info or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Cant believe this is happening.

My first loss (with some questions)
I am so, so sorry!! I had a natural mc and my body passed everything on it's own. The cramps actually went away after everything was passed. It took about 4 - 5 hours for me, after my initial bleeding, cramping began. Again, I'm so sorry!

Re: My first loss (with some questions)
I had a natural miscarriage last year and was told not to take anything to speed things along (because of my specific situation) ... so I just had to wait and be patient. It took 4 months for my beta to go down to 0, but it happened..... I don't know if that's the norm though.
I'm so sorry you are going through this

Oh no!! I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a MC back in Novemeber after seeing a HB as well. At this point it sounds like you are passing everything naturally, so I don't think there is any pill or medication you need to take. Good luck at the doctors. So sorry!!

My first loss (with some questions)
So sorry for your loss. I have had 3 m/c all passed naturally. The cramps are only bad for a day. The bleeding and clots can last a couple, but the flow should start to drop off after 2 days. As far as pain, If I were you I would only take tylenol until I saw the Dr. Try to rest and take it easy.

Re: My first loss (with some questions)
So sorry for your loss.
With my mc my body didn't move things along so after 3 weeks i had to take the pill to move it along. Usually they let you wait 3-4 weeks for your body to natually do it before giving you the pill unless you want it earlier.

Re: My first loss (with some questions)
im so sorry for your loss i was 10 weeks when i mc the baby was only measuring 8 weeks, and the HB had stopped. it all happened on a friday, i was scheduled for a d/c that following wedneday, but over the weekend i had miscarried naturally. It depends on what you choose, but usually they let you wait a few weeks to see if it will happen on its own, or yoou can opt for the pill or a d/c right away, they let you choose.

My first loss (with some questions)
I had a natural MC and didn't have to take a pill to pass the rest of the tissue... Your doctor will tell you if you need to or not. I was told not to go back to the doc for 2 weeks- which I thought was crazy because I was concerned that there might still be tissue and i could get an infection.... but when I went back everything had passed through.
My experience was actually pretty mild compared to most. I had scheduled the D&C and it happened just a few days before.... I woke up on a Sunday morning (thank GOD I wasn't at work when it happened) and I felt sharp contraction-like pains. It was really only unbearable for about 20 minutes or so and the rest of the time it just felt like bad period cramps. I called my doctor who told me she would call the hospital if I needed to but at that point the cramps weren't as bad. I basically just sat on the toilet for about 2 hours until I felt it "come out" (not to be gross). I did that so I didnt have to waste pads or worry about it leaking through... After it was over I immediately felt better and the bleeding was just like a heavy period.
Every person is different. My friend had a natural mc and still needed to get a D&C after. Good luck and I am sorry for what you are going through. hugs!!

Re: My first loss (with some questions)
I am so sorry for your loss. I had 2 m/c before I had DD, so I know the emotional pain. I don't have any answers/advice for you, as I never physically m/c, I had to have a D&C.
My prayers are with you.
