I like some Irish names buuuuuuut since I am not Irish and our last name is very Irish I was staying away from a completely Irish first name. I know, I am a pain in the butt. Very picky. lol.

I think my son's name is pretty cool.
J. Reilly is his first name. Hubby's name is James but the baby's birth certificate says J. Reilly. That's what we call him. Also, our next child ( in June) will be J. Bailey whether it's a girl or boy. Reilly is great grandma's last name and Bailey is my mom's maiden name. Hope this gives you a little inspiration.

I'm much more of a tradition, old-fashion name type too! So these names came up, but I just couldn't do it! Except I really wanted Brady, but we decided not to for a good reason :)
