*Official December 2012 Mommy To Be Thread*
Had an appointment yesterday, and Baby is still high and im not dialated either.... the wait is killing me! My due date is 1 week from today! I was hoping that he would come out a little early! Seems like all of our December babies are comfy in there!

so Im having a csection either tomorrow or Friday. i am so incredibly nervous i dont know how i am going to do this. baby hadnt dropped at all plus no dilation at all. with that said, doctor gave me the choice of inducing or csection but once i spoke about inducing, my dh and i decided csection was the way to go. basically he explained that at this point baby should really be engaged in the pelvis and since hes not, an induction will begin to force him down which could lead to problems. once i heard the problems that could arise, i knew the right choice for us. im just so nervous, im excited too that i will be a mommy SO soon but right now its so hard to concentrate. i thought everything was done at home but now i feel like i have a million things to do but cant figure out what they are. im kind of sitting here in shock.
eta: it was going to be for next week
(either choice) but we decided, this week was best. also, my doctor was great and i didnt feel forced at all...in fact, when i said, we wanted a csection, he was like are you sure, if you want to try for labor, thats fine and well definately try! Dr. A

wow - that's so interesting. i'm in a similar position (i'm slightly dialated, but baby hasn't dropped at all and I'm 3 days past due date) and my doctor hasn't said anything about the need for a c-section. he's only talked about an induction. regardless, best of luck to you and DH. in 2 days, you'll be holding your little baby!

Wow, that was exactly my scenario too but my water broke so there wasn't much planning time. The c-section was great, and honestly, the recovery is more annoying than anything else. It was hard to pull myself p to sit the first 2 days but the pain is manageable and within a few days Ill be caught up to where I'd be if I was natural. When the md did the section, he said the baby was even much much higher than he thought, and it would have never descended into my pelvis. So I'm glad we did the c! Now it's time to enjoy Amelia Grace!

So just got back from my dr appt and i'm now 3cm dialted and my dr says he thinks something will happen soon! Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also had a quick sono and LO is around 7lbs right now. I can't wait to meet him already!!!! Hope the rest of you are feeling good!

Hi December mommas-
Finally had our gorgeous little girl on 12/21. Her name is Sophie Emma and she was 7lb 6oz at birth and 19 1/2 inches
The birth process was not easy. I was induced, labored for 10 hours, and then had to have a c-section. But even after all that, just seeing my little princess made it all worth it!
I'm still in the hospital, so will post pics when I get home.

Congratulations!!! Sorry to hear labor was so difficult and that you needed a c-section, but I'm so glad everyone is healthy! Enjoy this precious time, can't wait to see pictures! Hope you have an easy recovery!
