double strollers-/second seat
Does anyone use a double stroller that is tandem style but with the second seat? (For example, the city select or britax b-ready style) I just can't picture it being comfortable for both kids. (I will have a newborn and a 2 1/2 year old.)
Any feedback?

I was curious about the same thing.
The city select looks comfortable. Especially if you can have the 2 children facing each other.

Re: double strollers-/second seat
We do. Have younger ds in the back bc he needs less leg room but he kicks the back of older ds' seat which makes him livid. Facing each other doesn't really work bc ones feet are in the others face.. Baby on the bottom, big kid on top works when facing u, but then it's impossible to get to the under carriage basket.
Usually, we just use the glider board if its a shorter adventure bc the older one wants to stand anyway.
I sound pretty negative, but I actually love the stroller (city select) it is heavy, but I'm glad we can go from single to double and back when we need too. And the full recline is great. Ours are23 months apart.

double strollers-/second seat
I have the city select. So far I love it but I do more neighborhood walking with it and less car travel. I say that because it is big and heavy. The seats lift off very very easily though so you can fold it fairly flat. My 2 year old is in the front, down low, facing out - he is very comfortable! My youngest is in the car seat still, up high, facing me. I love that the baby's seat is up high. Someone mentioned the basket being hard to get to - it can be difficult to access with two kids in the stroller but it does zip down on both sides in the back which I find super helpful. The basket is pretty big. I am able to get a good amount of groceries in there.
I have only used it with the 1 seat and the car seat, not with the two seats, however, so I don't know if that will affect the basket access or comfort. My friend recommended the stroller to me and had used it with two toddlers and she didn't complain about either of those. I'm sure certain configurations are more comfortable though. Good luck!

Re: double strollers-/second seat
I have the b-ready and like it so far. I've only used the 2nd seat once, the rest of the time I use it it with the main seat and the car seat attachment since my youngest is still in the infant carseat. So far, so good. The stroller is bulky and heavy, but I expected as much being that it is a double stroller. Very easy to maneuver though. Even with the car seat on the bottom or the 2nd seat attached, the basket is very easy to access since there are zippers on the front and on both sides. If I had to lug it in and out of my car a lot, I would probably find the size and weight to be more of an issue but I'm in Bk and use it mostly for neighborhood walks. My LOs are just under 2 1/2 years apart.

I had the uppa with the rumble seat. I loved the uppa and it looked great witht he extra seat however there was not a lot of space for the child in the back, the back seat didn't recline and they both need to face you which my daugter who was 2 1/2 at the time hated!!!I sold it and bought a city mini double which I LOVE!!

Re: double strollers-/second seat
Thank you so much the feedback. I was thinking that this style would be easiest to manage but I really don't think my daughter would be comfortable. She will be 1 1/2 when #2 comes.
