Waiting
I am waiting it out...but how long?
I should be 8 weeks but everything stop developing around 5.5 weeks. I still haven't started bleeding yet. Did anyone experience this?

Re: Waiting
I had a miscarriage last year somewhere in the 7th week but the baby was always measuring behind so at the time of the loss, it was somewhere in the 6th week..... My doctors advised against a d&c so I waited it out. EVERYONE is different ......... but it took me about 4 months for my beta to go to zero. I didn't try over again yet at that point because I was pursuing a gestational surrogate, but my RE told me I would have to wait a month after my beta went to 0 because of inflammation. I bled on and off, sometimes not at all and sometimes it picked up, so I always wore a pad just in case. I'm so sorry for your loss. You should be going for weekly beta checks to make sure things are going in the right direction.

Re: Waiting
Yes, I started with the weekly betas. Last week was around 17k, this week was 23k. Did yours go up a bit before they started going down?

Re: Waiting
I actually had an incomplete natural miscarriage so by the time I had my sono and I had beta checks, my beta was lower than yours. One week it went up slightly but all other weeks it went down.

Waiting
I was in this boat this summer, with a twin pregnancy. We knew there was a problem at 6 weeks, at eight weeks, one entirely stopped developing and no heart beat. The other did not, was always behind, and at 11 weeks I had to make a decision.

Re: Waiting
I found out at my 8 week appt that there was a fetal pole but no heart beat and it didn't look good...I went back at 9 weeks when it was confirmed, and the mc happened at 11 weeks. You don't want to wait too long because of risk of infection, and there's the chance that it could happen at a really inconvenient time. There is a lot of blood and a lot of pain so you wouldn't want it happening while at work or something. I never monitored anything or knew anything about betas- just kinda let nature run its course. The D&C might help you to get it over with to move on. I know it's not what you want to hear because even though you know it's not a viable pregnancy, we still have a protective instinct not to hurt our baby. Thats why I held off on getting one. But it might make things easier rather than waiting for it to just happen.
