Jogging with a stroller - will it get easier???
I am still a bit out of shape and overall just finding it is so hard to run with my BOB, especially going up hills oy vey! Also the fixed wheel really gets to me. The curvy roads in my neighborhood and culdesacs really screw me up. Is it really unsafe to run with it un-fixed? I just constantly feel like my arms are burning from trying to steer it OR that I am going to tip it when in fixed mode. I really hope this gets easier because I love running and want to get out alot with DD.

Yes, it will definitely get easier! Its hard to run without swinging your arms at first, but it gets better. I have never run with the wheel fixed, I always have it unlocked.

Re: Jogging with a stroller - will it get easier???
it will! it's awkward at first but if you do it enough it becomes second nature and plus you get stronger and more fit so it is easier.. in the spring when i break mine out the first few runs are tough but by summer/fall we are running a lot easier. i run with both of my kids and they are heavy! i take it easy and never do a run "for time" it's just to get out and fit in a workout. the most i have done with them is 3 miles. enjoy it-i am going to miss it...my kids are almost too big for the jog stroller!
ETA i have a fixed wheen so it's all i know but i just tip the stroller back slightly as we make a turn and it's not so bad.

will definitely get easer. i am just 2-3 mile jogger with it. but i definitely have become more comfortable. wheni first started, i would putwrist strap on and roll it out in front of me, catch up, roll again..i was a hot mess. my kids love it and have eaten many breakfast/dinners in it. i think it is a great way to be with them plus get jogging in.

You will get used to it! Is there a boardwalk or somewhere more straight for you to go while you get used to it?

You will get used to it. It is tougher though. I loved when I got to run without it, I felt SO good and went so fast.

I run with my BOB unfixed. You aren't supposed to, but the BOB is so much sturdier than other strollers. If you do run fixed, you are supposed to tip the handlebar down and lift the front wheel up to turn.
I usually only have one hand on at a time. and if I am on a flat road or a slight incline, I will push it forward and let go and catch up to it.
My mile splits are always 1-2 minutes slower with it AND I won't run more than 5 miles with it.

Ok thanks girls! I will keep at it and hope it gets easier! I may try running with it unfixed...but just curious what the big issue is? Is it that the wheel can get caught or if you hit a bad bump you can tip it?

I honeslty don't know. Mine rattles A LOT and makes it impossible to run with.

I never really run with mine. I don't like the feeling! I usually have my dh watch the baby when I run.
