Thoughts on the name Caiden Alexander?
So this is my first baby (it's a boy!) and since I don't have any younger children, I'm not sure what names are way too overused these days. We really fell in love with the name Caiden (middle name Alexander), but I think all the "aiden" names have been becoming too popular. (ex. jayden, hayden, aiden, brayden, raiden).. I'm not sure if it's as popular as my mind is making it out to be, so I'm just asking parents of younger children, if your children have a lot of "aiden's" in their class. The way I'm imagining it, there will be like 5 aiden's, 2 jayden's, a hayden and 3 caiden's in my son's class lol. I just don't want it to be too much, but we're not sure about any other names! lol
Plus, we would call him cade (or caide.. not sure which spelling yet lol) for short.. so that would be different from the other "Aiden's" lol

That's great to hear! Two teachers who say it's not as popular as I thought it was. I guess it's not a popular NY name :), which is what I was hoping for lol

My feeling is, go with what you love. If you LOVE the name Caiden, then use it. Don't let what others think or what others name their kids deter you. Trust me, there will ALWAYS be people who don't like the names you choose for your kids but my feeling has always been..........who cares. I picked the names I love, I'm happy with my choices, and I don't really care what anyone thinks about them. So if Caiden is the name you love, then name your LO Caiden. 
BTW...........Caiden Alexander sounds nice together!

I agree 100%. Your babys name is the first gift you give them, make sure you love it :)

I know of a 2 year old boy named Caden. Yes, there are a lot of "aiden" "jaden" names but if you like it, go for it!

I LOVE it. And just for the record, my name was like #3 on the SS list for the year I was born, so I was always one if 1200 girls in school (still in my office) with my name. It didn't bother me and I am just fine, LOL.

Me too, I have never worked or gone to school without at least one other Jenny, Jennifer, or Jen!!! haha! The only part I find annoying is I am Jennie and everyone assumes I am Jennifer, but that is a different issue!! I am current one of four Jennie's here at work. They are Jenny and Jennifer, but you know what I mean!!!

I'm also a teacher and if this  is a boy we plan on naming him Kade....DS name is Kellan. I like Caiden and so did DH but we know a lot of Jaydens so we decided against it in the end. Honestly I have never had a student named Caiden and I love it paired with Alexander so go for it.

It's not something I would pick but I don't think he's going to be one of more than however many Caidens ever.
'Jayden' is the one that's super popular.
I think it flows nicely.

I like it a lot. I had one student years ago named Caeden but it was a little girl. I used to associate it with a girls name but the more i say it the more i think boy
