opinions on Chicco KeyFit or Graco with snap & go stroller?
Hello! I am crashing from pregnancy....I started our registry recently and I know I definitely want to go with a snap & go stroller, just trying to decide if I'm going with a Graco Snugride 35 seat or Chicco KeyFit 30. I liked the Chicco snap & go frame better when I gave it a whirl at Buy Buy Baby (vs. the Graco Snugride stroller frame), BUT I can't get over how small the sun shade is on the Chicco KeyFit carseat!! It's tiny!! For anyone that has it, does it bother you or do you find the small sunshade a minor inconvenience? Or, have you bought a larger shade replacement? I believe the Chicco KeyFit car seat is the ONLY one that fits on their snap & go correct?

we have the keyfit30 and love it! If i were buying new, I would get the keyfit30 and Chicco caddy...
keep in mind that many strollers have adapters so you can use the stroller frame as a snap and go

You can't go wrong with either of those. I have a Chicco Keyfit and was happy with it.

I have the Chicco keyfit 30 with snap n go. Love it, but the sun canopy is a little small for my liking. I just drape a light blanket over hi m if the sun is really strong.

hey babe! totally should've done the snap n go and if we go for a 3rd that's the first thing on my list .....had a graco infant car seat and loved that the shade was a good size because the sun was never in their faces and with G being constantly pissed off when the sun is in her eyes it was perfect lol i don't know of the other choice you mentioned so i can't say which would be better but that's my 2 cents

I had both. My Graco snugride was recalled & I got a Chicco keyfit for my second child.
The canopy is really terrible. Horrible if you've gotten used to a better canopy, BUT the stroller is MUCH easier to maneuver & rides better & I like the fastening option that the Keyfit has (where you fasten loose & tighten). I've done the light blanket over the whole thing, but they do sell special things that have a netted screen.

love my chicco keyfit! now we just use the stroller part . . . ive used it with the snap and goand wasnt a fan - never felt very secure to me but the travel system as a whole? i love it!
Oh wait - do you mean teh stroller that comes with the travel system?
yeah get that LOL
as for the shade, when teh baby is in the infant carrier - you can put up BOTH shades and hte baby is a safe little sun free cocoon
when you are JUST using the stroller, teh share is adjustable . . so i just snap it down if the sun is directly in front of us or up if its higher in the sky
never had a problem (once i figured out that it moved LOL!)

I have the keyfit and caddy and love them both. We have the keyfit magic carseat which I think is a BRU exclusive. The sunshade on that one is great! I didn't like the shade on most of the seats but this one is much better IMO. It unzips at the back so you can extend it and it has a vent for warm weather. It's also not as hard to pull under the handle as the other. Definitely worth checking out.

I have the keyfit cubes and chicco keyfit caddy. The car seat has a tiny sunshade its pointless and annoys me and dd. I just ordered the uppababy canopy to go over it so hoping that helps. For what I spent, I should have just went with the chicco magic car seat that has the bigger shade.
As for the caddy, very easy to maneuver but mine apparently needs a wheel alignment and for some reason, it bounces along in the supermarket  Maybe I just got a defective one IDK

I has the chicco key fit 30 & used it in the snap n go. I did actually buy the tie on visor or just draped a light blanket over it.

Yea, I noticed that in the store, and I thought it was still small! I guess when you compare side by side w/ the Graco it really looks smaller. I'm more concerned about it when I use it with the snap & go as a stroller since then I have to worry about the sun more so than when LO is in the car since we have tinted windows.

funny you say this.. i never even knew that little plastic sunshade was even there until DS started playing with it and pulled it out. It had been tucked into the top of the canopy the whole time and we never even knew it was there!
I've never had an issue with too much sun on him - when we used the car seat snapped into the stroller, whatever area wasn't covered by the seat canopy would be covered by the stroller canopy.
Now that he's just in the stroller.. the stroller canopy can move front or back to cover up wherever the sun is shining on him

I have the graco snug ride, the one that goes to 22 pounds and it been great! MY dd is 8 1/2 months and she's still in it but its heavy! I def would not be using an infant car seat past 22 pounds, I can barely carry it now. I would rethink getting one of the bigger Graco's, the people I know that got a heavier car seat regret it now bc of how heavy they get and my BTDT firends all recommended the smaller graco.

We have the Chicco Keyfit 30, and it is really nice.
Me and my wife bought one of them for our son, and it's very reliable.
Here's a review that helped us choose:
Chicco Keyfit 30.
As you can see, it is a great car seat all around.

I ha e a chicco keyfit30 with chicco caddy. Love it except I can't put it on top of the grocery cart and I see people doing that with the gracos lol
