Me! I'm in Ronkonkoma, Town of Islip. I called the town this morning and they said they are focusing on our area today but we'll see.

ME! I am in the town of brookhaven on a dead end street and they came to plow yesterday and made it worse. Only plowed up to a few feet in front of my mailbox. Now everyone else on my block can get out and I have a giant wall of ice blocking me from the rest of the street! I am fuming! Praying they come back to finish :(

I think some people equate "not seeing pavement" as "not being plowed out" when roads are patchy BUT passable. There are definitely roads that are better than others, though.

Talked to someone in Miller Place this morning who's street has not been touched yet. It's about 3' deep all along her street. She knows people in other places who also haven't been plowed.

My friend in Miller Place has not been plowed at all, and neither has my sister in Ronkonkoma. They can't get out at all. Their streets are not passable by any means.

This was us! A big dump truck plow plowed it all to us this morning and left. Then he came back with a smaller one to do the rest of our neighborhood. I ran out there in my freaking pajamas to ask what is going on, and he sees me coming to his truck and starts to turn his wheel to drive away! I asked him if he is going to plow to the end of the road. He shrugged and said he couldn't, need a larger truck. I asked if the town knows that, he just shrugged again with a smirk on his face. Then the guy with the little plow said he was calling the town about it.
A few minutes later they came back, the pickup truck with the plow did to the end of our street while the dump truck just sat on the street. So we are free now. But that dump truck driver was an A$$hole. There was NO reason why he couldn't attempt it! Especially since the pickup truck was able to do it without getting stuck!

That's BS!! No plows have touched my street...not even when this all started. We were snowplowing it ourselves yesterday....but a snowplow can only do so much. There's a giant mound of snow at the end of the street and my car can't make it past it, so I'm stuck at home. This is ridiculous!

Actually no, I don't think that. I think people are saying they are not plowed have not seen a plow, period. They have 3 feet of snow in the road and can't leave their houses.

We have not been plowed. My street does have a single lane that was created by someone's snowblower + trucks & SUV's driving on it but otherwise it's untouched. I live on a pretty wide street for a side street and my side of the block is completely untouched. The "lane" is on the other side of the block so there is a good 5-6 feet on my side that is untouched. I have a feeling plows aren't coming because they see the 1 lane (which isn't even down to the pavement but it's not 2+ feet of snow either). DH had to shovel out to the lane in case we have to leave for some reason but we both called out today (well, he's working from home, I used a day).

OK thats fine. I know there are people who have not been plowed just the same as I see people on my FB exaggerating that they have not been plowed when in reality plows have been by, just not to their perfect standards.

Also, a lot of the smaller, private plows are not attempting to help plow because they will not be paid for it. I don't think thats right, and if I had a plow, I'd be doing whatever I could. At least this is what I heard.

We are in Saint James over by St Phillip and James church-other than the neighbor across the street plowing in front of his house we have not been plowed-now it is a slushy mess and the bus stop is in front of our house-I cannot believe that we haven't seen a plow-and the highway dept is off the hook.
