Raw/bleeding tushy?
What should I put on a raw and bleeding tushy? Cream or Vaseline or bacitracin? It's only 1 spot that's bad...

My ped said A+D (ointment) or aquaphor. The white creams scrape more skin off when you clean the area while the greasier ones wipe clean easier. Also, if it is caused by too much acidity from pee try Maalox on a cotton ball and dab it on.

Re: Raw/bleeding tushy?
Don't use wipes!
Rinse the area with water or use a cloth instead for the time being.
My little girl has this and I actually had to take her to after hours peds for it because it got really bad. She has the start of a pretty bad infection now, so I have a prescription ointment for her. We're not using wipes... I bought Viva paper towels (super soft like cloth) and made a mixture of water, Dr Bronner's castile soap (unscented) and a few drops of tea tree oil that I put in a spray bottle and I'm spraying the towels and using that instead.
