Sprained ankle and exercising
I sprained my ankle pretty badly last Friday. I really hate not being able to exercise for this long. Do you think spinning would be crazy? How about yoga? I know certain things are out of the question but I am not sure what exactly I can do. No matter the exercise I will wear a brace.
Thanks!

Sprained ankle and exercising
As hard as it is I would keep off it 100%. I always like to warn people about the dangers of exercising with an injury. I made that mistake about 2 years ago and my knee hasn't been the same.
Feel better!!

Re: Sprained ankle and exercising
I know its hard but having had numerous injuries over the years, its best to stay off of it One or two weeks of not exercising is a lot better than potentially injuring it worse and having to be off it for longer!

I agree with the others. While the impact might be lesser, and activity that requires motions or any weight bearing, is using muscles/ligaments for stability (standing for wt training, yoga, etc)
