Crashing! Obgyn recs
Hi there thinking about switching obgyns before my next pregnancy. I live in northwest nassau (near queens border). I love my current doc but i think the practice is getting too big. And you still have to wait weeks to see who you want. I was wondering if you could let me know how many partners are in your group, and your average wait time to schedule an appointment? Not for emergency but urgent situations (think bad yeast infection or bc switch or something!) I was told 5 weeks was the earliest i could get an appt to switch my bc and that wasn't even with my first or second choice doc and i barely had any input over day or time. Is this typical? Or are you happy with your boutique gyn practice? Tia!

I've only been there once, but I'm going to North Shore OB/GYN in Bayside. There are 5 docs there. Not sure about the typical availability, but you can give them a call and find out. Good luck!

Re: Crashing! Obgyn recs
I go to north shore obgyn in franklin square. There are 2 doctors there, Dr Sturium and Dr Wolfson. The regular wait time for an appt (at least for an evening appt) is about a month but if an emergency type situation comes up, they will get you in asap. I've been going there for years and even though i now live in lindenhurst, I continue to go there bc im very comfortable with them.

Re: Crashing! Obgyn recs
I am partial to nslij only because I delivered at Katz at nsuh and my four day post c-section stay was the closest to a vacation I am going to get for a long while! It is seriously beautiful. But I am open to Winthrop for a good doctor in a good group, where you can get appointments easily!

Not sure if this would work for you but I looooove my OBGYN.. I go to Great Neck OBGYN and they have 4 doctors in the practice.. all are great but Rifkin is probably my fave. They deliver out of North sure LIJ :) they also have awesome hours.. early and late appointements. I highly recommend them:)

I go to Women for Women- I see Dr. Marni Sanders but also completely love Dr. Bell- there are 2 other doctors that I havent seen as much but seem nice as well
They are located at 410 lakeville road right next to LIJ
