HELP! 13 months - sleep trouble...
We are very lucky in that our almost 13 month old DD has been a good sleeper since she was a newborn. She is one of those babies that always rolled over to go to sleep at bedtime without any problem. That has suddenly changed this week! The last 3 nights we've done our regular routine and after putting her in the crib and walking out... she has started screaming/crying like we've never heard her scream before!! She cries so hard that she chokes on her cry! We've ended up having to rock her to sleep after several tries of going in and calming her down and walking out. I refuse to let this become a habit. She did the same thing for her afternoon nap today and didn't end up napping at all. HELP! Do I have to try CIO? I don't know anything about how I would go about that approach.
Has anyone else had experience with their child suddenly changing their sleep habits around 1 yr old? Please share your experience and advice. TIA!

Is it possible that she could have an ear infection? We experienced exactly what you describe right around DD's 1st birthday, and I thought it was some sort of change in sleep habits. Turned out to be a double ear infection (it was the first one she had so I had no idea what was going on).
