Weaning Off of Progesterone
So when I had my last RE visit on the 21st; he gave a schedule to wean off my meds. So from the 23rd to today I'm suppose to continue the PIO then starting tomorrow every other day(won't do it tomorrow but Monday). I'm not ready to do that. I have my first OB appointment Monday and plan to mention it to him. Have any of you stayed on it longer than you were suppose to?

How many weeks are you? I stayed on pio until 12 weeks then stopped it per drs orders.

9 weeks and 3 days. I'm suppose to go completely off at 10 weeks as per RE.

I'm not a dr, but if I had it, I would continue on it longer if it were me. That being said I know a lot of women go off of it by then and are absolutely fine. I'm just a worry wort 
You could always ask who is going to be our Ob as well an tell them you'd prefer to stay on it longer- I doubt they'll tell you no. Your body is making the hormones necessary to sustain a pregnancy, but my dr was over cautious with me given my history...

I wouldn't just go off a medication without knowing my levels were where they needed to be to be weaned off appropriately.
When being weaned off the PIO and Endometrin I had my levels checked to be sure weaning was the right choice.

Weaning Off of Progesterone
Ask him to test your PIO levels first but I thought at or around 10 weeks the placenta kicks in and takes over making progesterone.

It does take over completely at 10 weeks and I will be 10 weeks this week. My OB tested my progesterone today at my appointment but I have to wait a day for the results.
