cost of refinishing wood floors
Can someone give me an idea of the cost to sand and refinish their floors?
.
We have about 1300sq ft of wood floors, the bedrooms are OK, but my living room and dining rooms really née it, so that's probably 900sf
Dh and I differ on the what we belive the cost might be. And i am trying to convince him that its time to get them done!

cost of refinishing wood floors
With a discount we had 900 sf installed and then an additional 800 sanded and finished at the same time. It cost 1700 for rip out, insallation, and finishing.
A good general guide is 2-3 sf for refinishing. You'll also want to make sure the floors can take the sanding. If they have been refinished before it might be rough. Do you need a full refinish or could you get away with a screen and recoat?

We paid about 1600-1800 for 3 bedrooms, hallway, living room, dining room and stairs with a stain.
