Selfish rant: Feeling really down

My BIL and SIL announced that they are expecting last night. I felt like I got punched in the face. I am having a really hard time dealing with this.

I hear ya. My BIL/SIL already have a little 2 year old boy and I keep thinking that maybe they'll be expecting soon (they have been talking about definitely having a second child). It is definitely hard, but I guess just try to realize everyone is on their own journey and everyone goes through some struggles in their lives... for them it may be a different struggle. Try to stay positive
How's it going otherwise?

I found out that my sis was pregnant about a month or so after my mc. I felt like she hit me in stomach with a baseball bat. It's only natural to feel like that - not selfish!

Agree with previous poster. It's not selfish, it's natural given what you have been through. I'm so sorry. It's so hard to be happy for others.

I understand how you feel. My first pregnancy I suffered a miscarriage at 12 weeks. My second pregnancy I had to take progesterone and had issues with bleeding. When I tried to have another baby I went through 2.5 years of infertility before trying clomid with an iui and it worked. After my miscarriage and years with infertility I felt like everywhere I looked there was another pregnant woman. What made it worse is that I am a children's librarian and I saw infants, pregnant women on a regular basis. I felt like everyone could get and stay pregnant but why not me. It's hard to be happy for others. When I got pregnant te 2nd time with my daughter my sister got pregnant without trying a month after me and my SIL three months after me without trying. It's hard to be happy when you struggle so. What your feeling is normal

When I was still teaching, I remember finding out that there was a pregnant teacher in my building and I'd get to my room before the students arrived to cry it out. It was definitely one of my low points... Then I'd call my dh or my mom to tell them how it's so easy for everyone and I'll never get pregnant It's such an awful feeling.

Even to this day (and I'm pregnant now) I get a jealous pang in my stomach when I hear someone I know got pregnant right away. In fact, I'm coming out to some family in a few weeks during the holiday and just hoping one of my DH''s cousins doesn't announce she's pregnant too. I just want my moment in the spotlight.... finally...
