The MMC is a fabulous resource- I am a member, I have a 15 month old and I joined when he was only 2 months- and I was so happy to have a structured community of moms to lean on. They have tons of programs, like Mommy & Me, Yoga Classes, Moms Night Out, Daddy & Me T-Ball, Painting classes, Book Club, Separation Classes, kid parties for every holiday and TONS of discussion groups around different topics, at all different times, so its great for working moms and stay at home moms. And awesome childcare is available for ALL the programs that don't include the kiddies.
It is an incredibly supportive community of mothers, with tons of activities and a real sense of camraderie. I think that is so rare and so necessary with families living further apart now, people being new to the area, people in differing life stages than those they know, needing to make mommy friends, etc etc. For me, I don't know WHAT I would have done without the center- I'm the first of my friends to be a mother and all my friends are still living out in the city mostly doing the single thing. I think support is crucial for all moms, especially new moms, though there are members with kids of all ages, from age 1 month to thirty years =)

Thanks mama, everything you've heard is TRUE! Its a really great space- no matter how old your child is, there's something for ALL kids, not just like those places where its 5 and up or whatever. And there's tons of programming for the KIDDIES and tons of programming for the GROWN-UPS, which rocks. It enables you to come and play with your child during an activity- or bring your child and leave them in daycare while you do a meditation workshop or book club or something. I'm a big fan!
