Take out the infant insert in the carseat. I bet he's outgrown the weight limit and needs more room. I hope that's the case for you.Chat Icon Chat Icon

eta: For the bottle issue, did you try a different brand? I know my kids never took bottles with the latex nipples, they would only drink out of silicone nipples. I'd also try the next size nipple, maybe the milk is coming out too slowly for him.

For my DS it really just took time for him to get used to the car and be ok with it. He used to scream a lot too (I'm sure I have old posts floating around where I was panicking about the same exact issue). But eventually he got used to it and he's great in the car now. I think it started to get better around 3-4 months old. GL!

My dd hated the car. We tries everything. She screamed her head off for hours sometimes when we traveled. It got a little better in the convertible. I had to turn her a little after 1 and it got better then we put the iPad up and she stopped. It was a miserable year.

The car was really rough for us until around 4-5 months. It has definitely gotten better since then but he still isn't a big fanChat Icon

I also took out the infant insert pretty early which helped. DD was so squished with it. She still gets crabby sometimes but usually calms down if I sing to her. I tend to do a LOT of verses of wheels on the bus, lol.

As far as the bottle, DD never took to avent. It was like you mentioned where she couldn't quite close her mouth on it correctly. I went to BRU to look at and feel the different options and ended up getting tommee tippee. It was a softer nipple and more natural shape and she took right to it.
