I assume you are BFing....I had the same problem with one of my DC, the ONLY bottle they would take was the MAM bottle.

Re: baby not taking bottle Dr said!!!!
I had the same problem when DS started daycare.
I tried many bottles. You just have to find one that will work for your DS. The one that worked for mine was First Year's Breastflow Bottle.
The other big thing is have someone else give him the bottle. If you're doing it he's going to prefer your breast.

Re: baby not taking bottle Dr said!!!!
Your drs. advice is very common. I have had 2 friends who had to leave the house and have someone else feed the baby the bottle. My lactation consultant suggested the same thing if we ran into that problem ( thankfully we didnt). We were successful with breast flow bottles by The First Years.

Re: baby not taking bottle Dr said!!!!
I had the same problems with DD when I tried to introduce a bottle. It was so stressful, so I know what you're going through.
Just keep trying to introduce it, try different positions, different bottles, different people giving him the bottle, etc. It might help for you to leave the room/house and for someone else to try and give it to him.
Good luck!!

Re: baby not taking bottle Dr said!!!!
Till this day DS will not take a bottle from me. He will take it from my MIL or DH. And if I'm in the room or if he hears my voice in the house he will refuse the bottle. I think you should try leaving the house or at least not be in the room where the baby can see or hear you and keep trying. Good luck!

My friend tried every bottle on the market and you know which one her dd took? The cheap dollar store bottles. She only bought them out of desperation and she took them no problem. I think sometimes its just trial and error.

We use the Medela Calma. DD takes it with a little coaxing.
