NYC DOE: UFT vote

I never received a ballot before, so this is my first time....any personal preferences on who to vote for?

I know we've gotten paperwork to keep the current leader in...I wish there was someone who would stand up to the current changes...

My rep gave us pamphlets on all the options. I don't have it in front of me but I think there are 3 main groups

Unity is currently the party. New action is not really an opposing caucus. Apparently they endorse every unity dies. The 3rd party is the MORE caucus. They are much more grass roots and very much against the current union leadership and all of the changes that have taken place recently. Check out www.morecaucusnyc.org. I think I am going to vote for them.

I am no longer with the DOE. I voted for James Eterno last time (along with something like 7% of the membership. If I had the opportunity, I would have voted for MORE. I have always liked Julie Cavanaugh- I think she's supersmart and will stand up to the mayor. Unfortunately I don't think they will win.
