vaccination schedules

Did you spread out your baby's vaccines or just go with the regular schedules? How many shots at one time?

If so, how come?

We spread them out a little so she wouldn't get more then 2 vaccines at once.
I wanted to do one at a time but it would have spread it out too much.
I just felt it was less likely for her to have side effects if she received less shots at once.
The flu shot I did separately to make sure it was ok for her in case I need to do it in the future.

I go by the regular schedule. It wasn't something I ever questioned to be honest. As for reactions, dd only had a reaction the first round of shots and then I gave Tylenol and she was fine... Now I always give Tylenol right before or after the shots.

DS is 6, DD1 is 3 and DD2 is 11 weeks. We have always gone by the regular schedule. My kids have had little or no reaction and we also give Tylenol as needed. I never thought to spread them out.

I did an adjusted schedule. DD gets 1 shot a month right now. Shes 9.5 months. Shes not in daycare or around tons of kids all the time. I am PTSAHM and my mom or mil are the only 2 who watch my dd if my DH or myself are not around.

It is what I feel most comfortable with considering all the information that has come out about autism, additives, perservatives and the amount of shots they tend to give at one visit. The increase in the number of shots they give since we were little.
I personally just don't understand how they give these very young babies whose systems are just beginning to develop so many shots. They want to give the baby a shot the 1st day of life in the hospital for hep b. Hep b is only contracted through stds and iv drug use. My baby is also not in area where she would be exposed to anyone with hep b. She never got it and still hasn't.

Its a VERY personal decision that you have to make based on what you feel most comfortable with.

Just do a little research, make sure its reliable sources and do what you feel is best for your family. =)

I will be following the regular schedule. I work with kids with autism and some of them have no vaccinations at all. Now some of these diseases are coming back because people aren't vaccinating.

I spread them out (went monthly instead of every other month) so that DS wouldn't have more then 2 at a time. We still did all of his vaccines as per the recommendations. Just what I was comfortable with! I didn't feel comfortable with him getting so many different adjuvants/antigens at once and not being able to tell which he may have had a reaction too.

We have done everything whenever they requested except for the MMR shot. My twins are now 18M but will wait until maybe around 2yrs

I was following the regular schedule but am going to be splitting up shots from now on. I spoke to the dr about it at her 5 month visit. She was miserable for a good week & a half after her 2 month & 4 month shots. Its too much on BOTH of us. Id rather bring her more often and have them split up. Hopefully not having so many at once will be easier on her system or at least i can figure out which is effecting her so poorly.

When I was vaccinating, I only gave 2 vaccinations at a time and I made sure that no more than one of them contained aluminum. Now, I'd only give ONE at a time, never any more than that!!

If I could do it over, I would have never given a vaccination before my son was 2 years old and the BBB (Blood Brain Barrier) was fully formed and closed.

I also wish I never gave Tylenol as research shows it actually decreases the effectiveness of the vaccine as well as it depletes the glutathione levels which are necessary for the body to properly detox after receiving the vaccine.

I go by regular schedule. I am in the field and therefore have received thorough education on vaccines. I believe in going by regular schedule unless the child has a reaction. Then I do recommend splitting it up. My DS had no true adverse reaction, just sleepy and a little cranky.
Also, if you are concerned do your research, but make sure it is from a reliable source. A lot of the stuff online is bogus. You can bring in your literature search and discuss it with your physician.

At just 7months old my son had his 6m shots all at once. He came down with a 102.5 fever for 3 days and acted very ill. His breathing was labored. I felt so sad that I had to put him through that. He is better now (4 days later) and I'm hoping that I made the right decision. Heart breaking to see your little one so helpless.

Looking back, I wish I would have spaced them out. Just for my own peace of mind.

Good luck and I hope your little one doesn't get any side effects. I know plenty of people whose kids were fine after it.

We follow the recommended schedule. He even said he made sure is grandson followed the AAP recommended schedule as well. She really only had a reaction the first time. I give Tylenol if she needs it.

I only do one at at time. It means I have to go more than usual, but my logic is that if there is a reaction, at least I will know which vaccine there was a reaction to.
