Scheduling entertainment at Party- can someone please help me.
Hi,
I am having Ava's communion on Sunday. The church is at 12. They said about 1 hour, 1 1/2 hours. So I am figuring we should be back at the house between 1:30-2:00. Have some snacks out and then serve food at about 2:30-3? I scheduled the entertainment for 3:30 but now she said she can do the party if I can hold out till 4. I have her for an hour and a half. I wanted to wrap the party up around 6/6:30. So I can maybe put the cake out at 5 or 5:30.. Do you ladies think this is good? Just don't want the kids to be bored from 1:30-2 till 4 when she comes but we will have a small bounce house and I figured they can eat too during that time? If anyone can help me out, I would really appreciate it. Thanks, Denise

it seems a little long to wait for entertainment but at the same time it might not be bad. The kids will be excited and want to run around and play with each other first, and with the stuff you will have there. Then eating will take up some time. Then entertainment.
I actually think it will be fine. let's 2-3 play, 3-4 eat/play, 4-5:30 entertainment, ckae and goodbyes. I think it's fine and will work. From my experience kids have fun no matter what. They make it fun. they will find things to do.

when we had entertainment for DS's 1st birthday, the party started at 2 with light snacks. then food came out at 3 and entertainment started at 3:30. this way the parents fed the kids when the food came out and they were done eating by the time the show started and parents didn't have to worry about the kids as much and could enjoy their food. they were there until around 4:30ish, then cake and coffee after that and done by 6.
