TMI ALERT hemorrhoids
Ok, mine is bad, really bad. I'm bleeding a lot, all the time!! I ruin my clothes, it is staining my bed sheets, it is on the bathroom floor after I even pee....My husband needs me to see someone...who do I see??? What do I say?? There are days I can barely sit, I just don't know how to approach a doctor about this and what kind of dr do I talk to?? TIA, this is so embarrassing

Do you need referrals with your insurance? If so, you go to your primary first. Don't be embarrassed. It happens to a lot of people. You need to see a proctologist. And fast. It sounds like its getting really bad. The longer you wait, the worse it will be.
You should never be afraid to tell your dr anything. If you aren't comfortable with your dr., then you need to find one you are comfortable with.

You need to make appt with a proctologist ASAP. If its that bad, he may perform sclerotherapy or a banding procedure to treat it.

there is a banding proceedure... may not fix it all.. but should help. mine wasnt that bad... but I would also use preparation H ointment, and wipes when it seemed bad.

there is a banding proceedure... may not fix it all.. but should help. mine wasnt that bad... but I would also use preparation H ointment, and wipes when it seemed bad.

Thanks everyone....I wanted to post this for some time now, but was nervous....It really is bad and I'm ruining my clothes, sheets, I can't sit...it is that bad. I don't need a referral, so I will find a proctologist tomorrow.. Thanks again for the help and support.! It really has come to a point where I need help. I was also worried since I will be TTC soon and i heard they get worse with pregnancy....I don't know how this can get worse, so I will handle it now.

I also have hemorrhoids from irritable bowel and its horrible. I've also had two children and it does get worse with pregnancy. Definitely see a proctologist and try Epsom salt baths and ice packs. Both help me some

I have always suffered with them but after having DS (the pregnancy and then the pushing him out) made them 100x worse so I would definitely try to have them taken care of before TTC. I asked my gyno last time I was there and he said the best OTC med was Prep H with hydrocortisone in it. Good luck!
