When I think of love, I think of my mother. She is my role model, my best friend, and my biggest advocate. Through a difficult life she always put her family first and showed my sister and I how to be true women. And selfless mothers. Plus, she is a stylish dresser and would love one of these necklaces! No one deserves it more, and for that I nominate my mom :)

I hope to win this for my mom since I and my family ae so lucky to have her here. She has had two strokes and came back from them. she was not walking or talking and how lucky we are that she can do both again. It has not been easy-but my family and I are so happy to have her with us.

I am nominating my mom. She is a great mother all around to myself my brother and my sister. She is an amazing grandmother to my three children. She never puts herself first if one of us are in need. She is 10 years breast cancer free and despite having a host of other medical issues going on she never lets it slow her down.

I have 2 kids that are 15 months apart, a fulltime job, a husband that travels often and am in the process of rebuilding after a fire that completely destroyed our house. I deserve an ***** necklace LOL

I am estranged from my mom, but I'd like to nominate my mother in law. I have 2 mother in laws! My DH was adopted.

I'd like to nominate his birth mother.

She gave up her infant when he was a day old. She spent one night with him in the hospital. I can't imagine what that must have been like.

For 45 years, she never knew if her son was adopted or in an orphanage or foster care. Alive or dead. If he hated her or even knew she existed. And then one day 4 years ago, she received a call out of the blue from an amazing finder DH used (who found his mother in 3 days!)

She never had any other kids. But in a moment, she went from a lonely old woman to a mother and grandmother.

She stepped up to the role so gratefully. But I always think of the years that went by without "I love you mommy" pictures. Whenever I buy her gifts, I try to choose a mother theme to make up for all that lost time.

I would love to be able to win this for her!

Great contest! Beautiful lockets! I would like to enter myself as neither my Mom or Mother in law wear much jewelry. I am a busy mom of 3 little boys and may end up treating myself to one of these even if I don't win :)

My mother would love this! I have an Origami Owl, and she's always commenting how nice it is. I know I'm partial, but my mother has the biggest heart any person could have. She is giving and caring beyond words and actions. She will drop anything to help someone. She's one of a kind and deserves a necklace that is the same - one of a kind.

I would like to nominate my mother. She got sick a couple of years ago and unfortunately, just keeps getting weaker. Yet, she still moves mountains for me and my family. And she adores her grandchildren - and constantly lets them know this. She is our greatest support and we would all be lost without her!

My mom is my best friend. My advisor, my go-to person when I am upset, happy, sick, frustrated, overjoyed. She's the person who always listens and there to help. She's creative and paints and draws and writes and volunteers. Last year she was diagnosed with breast cancer, which spread and is now terminal. This last year has shown me what it means to be a daughter. She has been all of these amazing things to me, has done so much for me my whole life--and now I get to do all of these for her. Our bond has stretched and changed but most importantly: grown. Through everything, she continues to teach and show me the kind of person I strive to be: Her.

My mom deserves this locket because my father passed away last year, at the end of May, and two weeks later, my DD was born and named for him. My daughter has been the best medicine for my mother, and my mother loves to spoil her. I would like to spoil my mother back by creating a locket for her to represent both them, incorporating both my father's birthstone and my daughter's birthstone.

I am nominating myself...I don't often give myself enough credit.

I am a mother of a 6 year old girl and 5 year old boy who are 9 months and 28 days apart (by choice, although my son was a bit early).

I am a full-time teacher in NYC, a part-time online facilitator for a college, and a part-time post-master's student.

On top of my crazy schedule, I make it a priority to be a dance and sports mom. 7 days a week I am bringing my kids to dance, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, etc.

While, I sometimes let the needs of everyone else get in front of my needs, I wouldn't change anything about the craziness of my life.

My Mom has always been the rock in our family. She was always smiling and staying positive when things would get bad. Then Hurricane Sandy took my Moms home where she was left for 6 months living out of her car, with family members and at hotels. All of her money between her and her Husband is gone that was being saved for their retirement next year. My became depressed and the only thing keeping her going is my baby coming in September. Every so often I try to cheer her up but I can tell in her eyes she wishes everything was back to normal again. I nominate my Mom because she's an amazing person trying to stay strong for herself and her family.

I nominate my mother!!! She doesn't have any health issue thankfully. (Usually someone with more health issues wins most contests I've noticed) but she has had her share like most people of issues. She is my best friend and instead of saying the hard times she has been thru ill just say the good. She has worked everyday to support me my sister and my brother since we been here. She now has 5 grand kids and does everything for them and us. If it weren't for her we wouldn't have the house all 3 of us live in with the grand kids. She opens her house to anyone who needs something. She is the kinda of lady who deserves to win the lottery but says someone else won who probably deserved it more. She always looks to help others even if she doesn't have a lot. She always says to me just do something nice and something nice will happen to you. She is the strongest, most kind hearted mother and grammie I know!!

I nominate my mother because she has dedicated her whole life to her family. She commutes 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, and her weekends are filled with housework and cleaning up after the men in my family. She does nothing for herself. She deserves something special!

I'm nominating my mother. She's the strongest woman I know. She raised my sister and I alone and always put our needs before hers. She now has two grandchildren and now puts all of our needs before her own. I hope to be as good of an example to my dd as she is to me.

My mom left this Earth 4 years ago and my life has not been the same since. Unfortunately, i never got to really tell my mom how much I appreciate her and everything she did for me, my son and my family. I know she knows now and is my guardian angel, but she truely was the most selfless person, always putting everyone else before her self. She loved her family more than anything and I love her more everyday now that I have children of my own, even though she is no longer physically with me.

I'm going to nominate my mom. She is the nicest person in the world. She never gets mad at anyone and everyone who knows her says she has the patience of a saint. Why?
Well, every day Monday-Friday she watches four kids. My son (her grandson) and her 3 nieces (ages 2 and 3). She has been watching all of her nieces and nephews for the past 15 years (who all affectionately refer to her as "Aunt Diane").
For the past 14 years she has been running a neighborhood Easter Egg hunt. Every year she has around 20-30 kids and hides 2,000 eggs her backyard. She asks every family who comes to bring a canned good (which she then donates to her church). She truly loves running this event because she loves making kids happy (her nieces, nephews, the ones she watches, her own kids, her grandson...).
It's hard to put into words how amazing she is- you just have to know her. Everyone who knows my mom loves her!

I just found this post, and these lockets for that matter, and need to nominate my daughter. She's a mother of 3 children under 10 and is very active in each of their classes. She's also a volunteer firefighter, an organizer for LI sports teams, works full time and helps me - her disabled mother.

She's just an awesome mother and daughter, and while I can't afford to buy her a Mother's Day gift, this would be perfect for her. Thanks for the opportunity.
