Where did/ will you deliver?
My OB delivers at 3 area hospitals (Winthrop, South Nassau and Mercy). I am really torn on which hospital to "choose". If the dr. on call is already at hospital delivering I have to go where they are. Please share your experiences on any of these three hospitals.

When expecting twins, my most important factor would be the NICU level. I am not familiar with those hospitals but I know the information can be found online.

South Nassau has a II Mercy and Winthrop are both a III I believe.
I'm 26.5 weeks now. I have to ask when I need to decide. Not sure how pre-registration works. If I last until 38 weeks I assume I should be fine at a hospital that offers a level II. Oh, I'm so torn.

Re: Where did/ will you deliver?
I was going to deliver at south side, but then baby A had other plans at 30w. When I got to South side they took me to northshore who has a higher level nicu. After being born, baby B was taken to LIJ for surgery.

Re: Where did/ will you deliver?
I delivered at Winthrop and had a few issues, but with the doctor who did my emergency C-section and one or two staff members only when I was trying to book a class/tour. That being said, the nursing staff was awesome, accommodating and really sweet. Their lactation consultant was also super helpful, and the amenities/room were nice.
I can't speak about the NICU as we luckily didn't have any babies in there.

Re: Where did/ will you deliver?
Delivered at Winthrop. My twins never needed the NICU and overall I was happy with my experience there.

Where did/ will you deliver?
I had my twins at Mercy because I went in to labor at 29.5 weeks. I cannot say enough good things about the NICU there. They, along with my OB, saved my boys' lives!

This was my main reason when choosing a hospital/obgyn. I had twin girls at 38 weeks so they didn't need to go to the nicu but I knew the chances of needing the nicu when having multiples was high.

I delivered my twins at Winthrop at 32 weeks. I had no issues with the staff and the NICU was amazing!

Re: Where did/ will you deliver?
I delivered my DS at Winthrop and will be delivering my twins there as well. I had nothing but a great experience there and I've heard great things about their NICU!

Re: Where did/ will you deliver?
delivered both times at Winthrop, and all 3 were in the NICU and had great experience. with twins, the hospitals NICU would be my primary concern

Where did/ will you deliver?
We delivered at Winthrop because it is reputed to have the best level 3 NICU out of the list of places my OB delivered out of. I didn't want the babies to have to be transported to a different hospital (without me) if they needed a higher level NICU and I was stuck because of my C-Section). I have nothing but good things to say about them. Everything went really well and everyone was kind and attentive.
My girls did need the NICU one for 5 and one for 7 days. The NICU nurses were all really great, even when I had my major hormone meltdown and was crying non stop for 2 days.
