traumatized? i hope not.
OK, I have a 2 year old son.
In the car, my husb was just driving and he noticed a nasty big spider on the dashboard. So I was grossed out and screamed but not loud just bc i was grossed out. but then we laughed and I was happy I got to squash it.
well, it freaked out my son.
since it happened I keep seeing him remember it and crying and getting really clingy, etc. I just put him in for a nap and he screamed and cried for a while and was bugging out in the crib....Now I know I have anxiety issues but I really feel like I scarred him! He never cries like that except if he is throwing a tantrum or somehting.
He was definitely tired today and that it probably part of it too
I try not to be too neurotic and stuff but I'm sure I dont do the best job. With telling him not to touch certain things that are dirty, etc....
i'm obviously hoping he wakes up in a little and doesnt even remember it or has a different attitude about it.
Please someone share experiences or tips here so I dont feel so freaking guilty and worried that my son will be a kid who is scared of everything...

good luck... I freak out over bugs too... maybe just try saying Yuck... to ease yourself away from the scream...
I was trying to take ds to softball and we got lost because there were no signs, and multiple buildings, and he got scared because the hallway got dark(and honestly I was really creeped out, too many horror movies) but I said to ds I'm here with you, I'll keep you safe
