Day care costs - please don't move!!
How much would you pay a friend to watch DC?
She would only be watching dd- no other children
5 days a week - no holidays weekends or summers
Aprox 7am-330(4)
I don't know what's appropriate... Any help would be appreciated.

My full time babysitter charged me $7/hour for 1 baby so not more than that! I don't pay her if I take off or if she goes on vacation! She did not double that rate for my 2nd so I got a sibling discount! It sounds cheap but it does add up to a small fortune, lol!! (Off the books....)

I pay $280 for FT care at a home center, so probably less than that since it will be off the books.

We pay $55/day/kid for a similar time frame. Food included. We dont pay when they don't go

I don't think you are looking for "day care" costs, but nanny/babysitter costs? The costs can be much different. My dcs were in daycare and it was about $350/week from 8-4. We now have a nanny (for only one child) and we pay her $13/hr. So about $550/wk.

My BIL is unemployed so he watches my DD at our house from 8:30am-4:30pm and we pay him $60/day. If my husband or I are off of work and home with our DD, then we do not pay him for the day. He is absolutely wonderful with our DD and she adores him so much so I would probably consider paying him more IF he didn't live in our house, rent free.

I pay my nanny $11/hr (off books) 8am-6pm to watch my 8 month old and my 5 year old whom she takes to school and picks him up and does homework with him. I also gave her 2 weeks of paid vacation and 5 sick days. She is amazing, we all love her and she's worth all the $$.

When my DD was being watch at our home, I paid our care taker $50 a day. She watched her from 7-4 and was the only only child here. We live OOS too so the costs are a bit cheaper.

I would say $350 a week. The going rate for a nanny seemed to be $10 an hour when I looked into it but since its a friend you should be able to save a few dollars
