Recommend your self cleaning litter box

I'm looking into getting a self cleaning litter box. Does anyone have one and like it? At problems with your cat when using it?

I have a bubble litter robot. I just got it about 2-3 weeks ago. Before that I had one of the manual boxes that you just roll upside down to clean it.

So far I like the litter robot but my cats kick out a TON of litter. I need to see if I can get the add on piece that helps keep more litter in the box. It doesn't help that it is in my kitchen so I am constantly having to sweep. Well, technically my roomba is constantly having to sweep but I have to keep that charged and put it in the kitchen.

All in all except for the massive amounts of litter getting kicked out it is doing a great job. My cats are very happy to have a perfectly clean box every time they need to use the toilet. It definitely cuts down on the amount of litter I am using. Mostly because I was getting lazy and just completely dumping the box twice a week instead of scooping it all the time. Which was why I decided to get the robot. I use 10 gallon trash bags in the receptacle. Next time I go out I think I might get scented ones. I either dump out the receptacle when I am changing my kitchen garbage bag or I pull out the whole bag and replace it with another. I think funk wise is about equal to what their previous box smelled like. It smells when they just did a poop or if I have waited several days before emptying the receptacle.

I also have to say I use swheat scoop litter which is not the suggested litter but I have to use it because my dogs have been know to get at the box. (another reason why I love having the robot, no poop for the dogs to go after). The swheat scoop works OK but there is some left over residue in the bubble after it does a cleaning cycle. I just washed out the bubble for the first time on friday. It was very easy to wash out. Also... it is HUGE, so keep that in mind if you are in a small space.

I love my Litter Robot. I turned mine towards the wall so the litter kickout was lessened.

We are now using the BJ's green scoopable litter.

Tara does the litter you use stick to the inside of the bubble? Also what does it mean that it's green?

It's from their new "green" line of products, Generation Earth. It's like 6.99 for 20lbs? Doesn't stick at all.

I think it is, but it is pretty dust free and smells like cedar.
