I've never been but will make a stop this week. What are your favorite items? Any must have snacks for kids?

When I go there I just go up and down each aisle and fill my cart with whatever looks interesting.


I've scaled my trips down to maybe once every 2 months since Trader Joe's = the Target of food stores and before I know it, I walk out with over $100 worth of stuff I don't need.

As for recs, I enjoy their cheese and dip section. Some of this is cheaper than a regular grocery store.

I also like a lot of their frozen meals that can be heated up easily.

I have to be in the mood for it personally, but I know a lot of people who have a foodgasm when they eat their cookie butter.

Their pita chips and crackers also seem slightly cheaper than the grocery store.

I enjoy some of their salad dressings too (the ginger soy and their feta one is good).

I picked up chocolate covered edamame when I was there last and this hits the spot when you are craving chocolate.

I've started to see how many TJ-knock offs I can find in my regular grocery store, since they are so out of the way for me to go to.

We love their hummus, ritz type crackers, freeze dried fruit, string cheese, grilled marinated chicken, graham crackers, greek yogurt, orange juice, ketchup, whole wheat wraps, pasta, pineapple mango salsa, and those little cheese crackers that look like the ritz cheese sandwich crackers. I will usually pick up new things here and there too.

I love love love their fresh salsa (it's by the cold cuts)
Guacamole made from greek yogurt.. Delish n half the fat
I like masala veggie burgers
Orange chicken in frozen section is really good if u need a quick meal

All of their condiments. Salt, pepper, olive oil, balsamic, olive oil spray, mustard, ketchup, relish...none of it has chemicals or artificial dyes.

Applesauce cups (try finding one at regular supermarket w out corn syrup or fructose)
Body soaps

I Trader Joe's! I do most of my regular shopping there and just supplement a few things here or there that I can't find there or that are too pricey (i.e. peppers and tomatoes!).

Some of my favorites and staples are:

> Tapioca Pudding
> Low Fat Yogurts
> Berry Granola (MMM, for the yogurts)
> This little fig breakfast bars
> Salad bags (I forget which one I get, but they stay really fresh and taste yummy)
> Balsamic salad dressing
> Eggplant pepper spread
> All types of cheese - I love them there, and the prices are pretty good too
> Pita crackers
> Chocolate ice cream
> Frozen spinach, brocolli, asparagus, etc.
> Frozen berries for smoothies
> Coconut strips and chips
> Tortilla chips - and any of their salsa, dips, etc.
> Ground beef - I usually get the 96% fat free one and love it
> Fruits - love the berries, oranges
> Peanut butter
> String Cheese
> Milk, eggs, etc.
> Trek mixes or whatever they're called - the peanut butter one is yummy

There's a lot more I can't think of now, but love it there!!!

I'd also recommend your first time, not going on a weekend if possible - or if you do go early in the morning. Atleast for me, it was overwhelming going when it was busy and not knowing one thing.
