I am planning my sons christening. Do I need to get a gift for my sons godparents? My mom suggested that I do. If so, any suggestions?

I didn't give them gifts that day but had professional shots of them with the baby printed and framed in special frames later on.
ETA: I am a Godparent to two kids and didn't receive gifts from the parents.

I'm a godmother to 3. Two gave me a gift. One was a ring and the other was a pair of earrings.
The gifts were a nice surprise. I wasn't expecting anything.
