Doctor Change After MC
Hi All, I just had an early MC at 6 & 1/2 weeks. I did not like the way that my doctors office handled the situation, and I felt totally unprepared, despite the fact that I asked many questions - nearly all of which went unanswered by her staff. I have received a great reference to another doctor and I was just wondering if anyone else changed doctors mid-TTC and if you did, did you go to see the new doc BEFORE they found out they were PG or did you just wait until you got the next BFP?
I had gone to see the doc the week before I got my BFP, so I really don't know if my insurance will pay for another regular visit. TIA!!

Re: Doctor Change After MC
I am sorry, i know the feeling. We just had a MC this past week as well, and its very rough
Not sure what you should do about your doctor, but i just wanted to say that i am very comfirtable with mine- He was extrmely supportive and sympathteic- Its very important to feel that way especially in tough times
Good luck in your choice

Re: Doctor Change After MC
If you were not happy with the practice, I'd figure out specifically why you felt that way and based on what it is either give them another chance or find someplace new. I just don't have the patience for the bullish!t, personally- and I'm a sucker for bedside manner.

Re: Doctor Change After MC
I went right after my MC to see if I liked the office first and to meet them and tell them my concerns that needed to be addressed.

Thanks! I think I'm going to do that too... I see no getting past this issue with the other practice.

Re: Doctor Change After MC
Five years ago I miscarried at 12 weeks and my ob/gyn at the time was a real you know what. Very cold, unfeeling and she screwed up sending the baby for genetic testing. After my d & c we ttc again and got pregnant two months later and I found a new group of doctors from recommendations. They delivered both my daughters and I'm so glad I left the other practice.
