Anyone willing to share the good, the bad, the ugly?
If you loved CHL.. is there anyone you would recommend?
If you recently went to closing.. how much % did you put down?
Did you get a conventional mortgage or FHA?
What was your interest rate?

This is one of my biggest regrets!!!!!! We were in the beginnings of working w/Bruce Silva and his team, we llllllloooooovvvvveeeeddd them. Then my father convinced us to go w/a family friend who works for Wells Fargo. They completely scr@$ed us over. Once we are able to refinance in 2 yrs, we are heading straight to Bruce again.

I generally like Continental and find their loan officers and other personnel to be knowledgeable and responsive. I think a lot of how smoothly any loan goes is influenced more by the people you are working with versus the larger institution.
I have had several good experiences with Robert Flower at Continental.

Closed with Continental Home Loans on Tuesday. From contract to close was about 45 day, may have been less. We were pre-approved prior to contract for an FHA loan. The whole process was great. They were responsive and very helpful. Our contact was Tim O'Hare. He was great.

We used Jason Marcus in 2010 to do our FHA mortgage. We put down 3.5%. He was very good at answering our questions and with getting everything in place. He even came to my office once to get my signature on a form we needed. I recently reached out to him with questions about refinancing and again he explained things to me in a way that was easy to understand.

Hi.
DH and I closed a year ago on a home with a conventional loan.
We put 10% down and will be paying PMI until the remainder 10% is down. Our mortgage guy said that if we were qualified for a conventional loan there was no reason for an FHA loan.
Our interest rate was 4% but again, that was a year ago.
Oh, our loan is with Wells Fargo but our guy isn't there anymore. No problems with Wells Fargo during the process or now.
