Best thing to do is find someone with a comparable size house and find out what their monthly expenses are. Obviously its not going to be exact but it will give you an idea of what you're looking at for monthly costs.
And try not to drive yourself nuts!

Re: Did anyone else have this issue?
Just collect all of your bills and 1 months worth of paychecks for the bank to figure out things. They will run your credit and pull up all loans and credit cards and see what your debt to income ratio is.
You are stressing yourself out way to much!

Re: Did anyone else have this issue?
I actually brought everything I could to the loan ifficer I was working with at bethpage. he was great, but he's not there anymore
but he sat with me and used the sq ft of the house and estimated everything out for us. DH's parents have almost the same layout of a house, and they felt the numbers were a little higher then what they actually pay, but not by much. And to be honest, I would rather it be over estimated then under.
he took all of this into consideration when he told us how much we could actually spend on a mortgage every month. and that factored that number out to the total we could spend. which I loved because it wasn't just a number based on our gross salary

our mortgage broker helped us....we went over current expenses and what we would like our house expenses to be and mortgage payment each month and he told us a house price to stay under and a taxes number to stay under as well

you are not alone...we felt the same way. to be honest, there's no real way to gague the first few months....things come up, commuting changes, different bills.
do the best you can....and have a glass of wine to relax!

Re: Did anyone else have this issue?
that's great to do for yourself
but the bank only cares what's on your credit report to figure out DTI
