crashing with a Q about luteal phase
If you have a shorter luteal phase did you have trouble conceiving? I recently started using OPKs and I think AF showed last cycle 12dpo and this cycle 11dpo. I thought it was supposed to be more like 14dpo and am a little concerned

I have heard it ranges 12-20 days depending on cycle, 14 is just an average. I wouldn't be concerned. I had 12-15 day LP's and conceived fairly easily (8 months with 1 chem)

14 day LP is like a default number... like 28 day cycles. Not everyone has 14 day LP and not everyone has 28 day cycles. My LP is 11 days. So far no BFP though.

Mine averaged about 10 days and I never had a problem getting pregnant.

they base it on a 28 day cycle so they say 14 days...but most people dont have a 28 day cycle. My LP was 12 days and I got pregnant

Re: crashing with a Q about luteal phase
I had a borderline LPD (9-10 days) and was receiving treatment from an RE but got pregnant without any progesterone supplements.
LPs are always the same so yours should be 11 or 12 days. It will be the same number of days every month. And both 11 and 12 days are still in the normal range. Shorter than 10 you have to worry.

Re: crashing with a Q about luteal phase
I had a short LP before I conceived with DD--usually 9 or 10 days. I started taking vitex, royal jelly drinking red raspberry tea, snacking on goji berries and some other holistic remedies. After 7 months of TTC (and 2 months of the supplements), it happened.
This pregnancy, my LP was only 7 days for the 3 months before I conceived. I was really freaked out. My doctor wasn't actually that concerned and said it was probably stress (I was living with in-laws while renovating a new house and in a job I wasn't happy at) and sure enough the month we moved into our house, I conceived. I was taking the vitex and royal jelly again so that could've helped too.

Re: crashing with a Q about luteal phase
Everything I have read has said that it has to be a minimum of 10 days.

your LP is fine, less than 10 is a problem. yours is completely normal, not short at all.
