TTC #2...??? more of a curiosity question
Hello ladies! I wanted to get a feel for how many ladies we through this..it might give me hope for my own situation... When we were TTC DD to had to use clomid and have an IUI done to finally conceive...I have PCOS. Some friends of mine who also hsve PCOS were able to conceive their second child with no medical intervention. Anyone have that be the case? Or did many of you have to have help the second time around as well? FWIW, DD is 3 months and although we are not actively trying, we are not preventing it from happening either. Thank you!

Re: TTC #2...??? more of a curiosity question
So I have mild PCOS. We conceived our DD on the first try with Metformin and an IUI.
When we were TTC #2 we went back to the RE and we ended up doing Clomid, Metformin, IUIs, and even a round of injectables. We miscarried 3 times and had another 5-6 failed IUIs on top of that. After two years and the last failed IUI we gave up. I had no hope it would happen for us ever again.
Three months later we were pregnant with our DS........all natural. No drugs, no IUI, no medical intervention at all. We were shocked. So, it can definitely happen. I never thought I would be that person who after so much medical intervention would find herself pregnant without any help but I was. Good luck to you!!!!!

TTC #2...??? more of a curiosity question
I don't have typical pcos. I have normal hormone levels, but I have the cysts and anovulatory cycles. For DS I took clomid and did an IUI. Luckily it worked on the first try. After having DS we were not being particularly careful but not trying either. I got pregnant at 5 months PP.
I did notice that after I got AF at 12 weeks PP that I had signs of ovulation and got AF on time. It was he same the following month. The month I got pregnant I thought I didn't ovulate. Well apparently I did!!
I hope the same happens for you. Although I am a little nervous about having 2 only 14 months apart I am grateful we conceived on our own without even trying!

Re: TTC #2...??? more of a curiosity question
I have pcos and had 3 rounds of clomid/iui to concieve dd.
When dd was 8 months old I found out I was pg on my own. I literally have no idea when I ovulated because I never got a regular period after dd was born. I lost the baby before 6 weeks.
I than went back to the RE to try to have another baby. I got pg with my dd2 after only my first iui/clomid cycle.

Re: TTC #2...??? more of a curiosity question
DS is 3.5. We conceived him with the help of an RE. We did a medicated back to back IUI with trigger. Worked on the 1st try. I have PCOS and at that point I was getting my period maybe twice a year.
Decided to TTC #2 when DS was 3. I was getting my period regularly but my cycles were starting to get longer (32-35 days). We actively ttc for 2 months and conceived DS2, due in August, our 2nd month trying. I used OPK's that 2nd month. I never expected that we'd conceive on our own so I had just started going to my RE and had started testing. He told me OPK's wouldn't work, guess he was wrong!
You never know what will happen. Pregnancy did regulate my cycles but like I said, over time they started to get longer. I think if we had waited longer, given the changes I was seeing, we would not have been able to conceive without help.

Re: TTC #2...??? more of a curiosity question
I have polycystic ovaries and probably do not ovulate regularly (doctor said I don't actually have PCOS because I don't have any other symptoms). For our first, I took clomid and after the first IUI we got pregnant.
I actually got pregnant on my own last month but had a chemical. And I am pregnant this month, but not sure where the pregnancy is going since I have been bleeding on and off for a week.
For me, I think my first pregnancy has helped regulate me. Before being pregnant, my used to get my period every month but my cycles ranged from 27 days to 34 days. Now after DS, my cycles are exactly 28 days.

I have a similar story (though I wasn't exactly NOT trying to have a second)!
Use protection unless you are OK getting preggo tomorrow!

I dont have PCOS (although my dr. said something about having "a touch of PCOS" b/c I dont have 28 day cycles. More like 30-32 days);
In any case, I conceived DS using a small dose of CLOMID and IUI and it worked the first time.
Now we are going to try for # 2 and I can tell my cycles are a little off again. we are going to try on our own for a few cycles, but I have a feeling I'll be back at the dr's getting clomid again.

My good friend had to do IVF but then conceived her 2nd on her own - much to her surprise because they weren't trying.
