July Mommies

How is everyone feeling? How many days left?

I just looked and I'm 24 on the list with 34days 15hours left Chat Icon I feel like this pregnancy has flown by but I'm ready for it to be over. I would like to have Chat Icon may be in 2-3weeks instead of 5wks.

L&D had a visit from me last Friday and my contractions were 3-4mins apart. They eventually gave me nifedipine to slow them down. It slowed them down but I still have them. I don't think it really matters though because there wasn't any change in my cervix.

Sleep...I don't know what that is anymore. My back and hips are in so much pain after sitting or laying down. I definitely have the exaggerated waddle going on right now Chat Icon

Just wanted to check in with everyone and see how you're doing. Our board has been extremely quiet these last few months.

Re: July Mommies

I am getting really uncomfortable at this point. Moving around is getting harder and harder. I cannot imagine having another 6 weeks. The twins will be here my 38th week which is around July 14th. Even though I am so uncomfortable and tired, I cannot complain too much b/c the boys are developing well and I have had a "typical pregnancy". I'm a little nervous b/c it looks like I am going to wind up with a c-section b/c baby b is still transverse. The dr. doesn't seem too optimistic about him turning at this point. It seems like most twins are born with a c-section.

I've been going to the OB every week for the past two weeks. My appointments are close to two hours! I have to sit on a monitor for 30 minutes per baby (sometimes they can manage to get both heart rates at the same time). Thank goodness there is no sign of any contractions and my cervix is long and closed. My poor DS gets dragged along but he handles it really well.

Nesting is in full swing! The nursery is finished. I have bought everything I need for them. I've even washed everything. I just feel like I need to be prepared way in advance b/c of the extreme unknown.

I was in the same pain but started seeing a chiropractor (with my obs permision) and feel 100% better. I still have 8 weeks to go so who knows it prob will get worse again. I am so done with the heartburn though! Today we have our sono to check fluid levels. Nursery is semi set up I don't want to do the sheets until the middle/end of June because with all the pollen and keeping the windows open to air the room out I'm afraid everything will get too dusty. Clothes on the other hand I prob will start washing next weekend since they are in draws. We have a baby care class on June 18 (I call it baby 101 for dh lol) I think once that passes it will seem more real. Right now it's seems too far away and I'm still at work blah blah. So glad I had the shower earlier so that I could organize things! Changing table is all set up and curtains are hung. Room is decorated just have to return a few things and we are all set!

I am done!!! lol. I am scheduled for my c-section July 1, it can not come soon enough! I am in so much pain, I can't sleep, everything gives me heartburn. If she doesn't move enough I get worried, it's insane!!! This heat is not helping!! I am stopping work June 12th, if not sooner, then relaxing (yea right) until little girl gets here!

Re: July Mommies

59 days left. I'm feeling pretty good still mostly. Soreness & swollen veiny feet/ankles but otherwise I can't complain. I actually don't mind the heat, I'm definitely a summer person. A few weeks from now I might be saying the opposite though, we'll see!

Re: July Mommies

53 days left today....but honestly I'm hoping LO comes a little earlier. I have killer acid reflux and heartburn and this little guy has taken to jamming his feet into my ribs. At work, if I'm on my feet too much or not drinking enough water, I get some pretty wicked BH contractions.

I have only 3 weeks of school left and will be glad to be out of my hot classroom, off my feet, and able to drink and pee freely without waiting for some random colleague to stroll by my door so I can run....I use the term run very loosely....to the bathroom. I've had two UTI's already Chat Icon

Re: July Mommies

I have 37 days left! In one aspect it feels like forever I have been waiting but on the other it has gone by quick. I also would love to go a little early. I would love for him to be here before July 4th so he can wear a cute onesie that says My 4th of July lol I am a nurse in a hospital so working the 12 hour days are hard at times but I am going to try and do it for as long as possible.

Re: July Mommies

Well I was due in July but going to be a June Mommy. 32 days left but 28 until my section. I am just starting to feel really uncomfortable. Need to sit to work and with a head in my croch and a foot under my ribs, even sitting is uncomfortable! Trying not to complain but can't help it some days! Otherwise, feel good. Have tons of braxton hicks.

Re: July Mommies

My csection is scheduled for July 2nd (38 weeks), so I have about 32 days to go and the countdown has begun. I cannot wait to meet these babiessssss!!!!! As of Tuesday, Baby A is 5lbs4oz and Baby B is 5lbs7oz... that's a whole lotta baby in me!

I'm feeling OK other than the exhaustion and pains down below. Sleeping has become impossible and this heat is killing me. Heartburn has also hit me and it is horrible!

We are team green, so I haven't finished the nursery yet. The furniture and basics are done, but I'm waiting on the bedding until I know if they are boy(s)/girl(s). I still feel so unprepared, but I guess that's expected when having twins with a toddler at home!
