Moms of gassy babies
So my DD is only 2.5 weeks old. She was on the similac ready to feed up until a few days ago. She was gassy on it and only pooped 1x a day. I thought maybe it was the bottle/nipple letting in too much air, so we switched to the drop-ins and that helped a bit. Then we ran out of the similac ready to feed, so we switched to the similac powder. The last few days her gas is out of control. She is constantly farting and burping, but actually is pooping more. The gas even wakes her out of her nap sometimes and makes her fussy when she is awake to the point that she only wants to be held.
If your LO was like this, what formula worked for you? I bought some of the Similac Sensitive ready to feed and I'm going to give this a shot for a few days to see if it helps, but I'm curious what worked for your babies. With DS, we had to try 3 different formulas to find one that worked. I'm ok trying something other than similac if it works well. TIA!!

Moms of gassy babies
Yup DD was like this but mostly bf. we use enfamil gentleease at night only....tried gas drops nd gripe water and she still has it. As she gets older its not as bad all day but still wakes her up at night. She's 4 months and we keep getting told she will grow out of it. So we are impatiently waiting.

I have the same issue! But,...GENTLEease has been helping her! I tell you the Similac Sensative does not have lactose and made her so so constipated and the gas was hurting her. Now the gas is still there,..but it is coming out. TMI sorry! She is pooping once a day too which is way better. The consistency of her poop is better. Remember, babies don't have to poop everyday. Also it could be the powder making her have more trouble. Try gentleease.

Re: Moms of gassy babies
Both DSs were super-gassy, esp at that age. DS1 did well on Good Start Gentle, but DS2 did not poop when we started supplementing with Good Start, so we switched to Sim Sensitive. He has done great with it. We used Born Free bottles but have switched to Playtex drop-ins. We used gas drops with EVERY bottle, and before and after BF up until 5months. I stopped the drops at one point and saw a big difference, so we kept going with them. Gassy babies are tough! Good Luck!

I haven't used formula however I have friends that do. I know some of them have had troubles with gas when they switched from the liquid formula to the powder. For whatever reasons their babies digested the powder differently and it caused tummy problems.

I used Goodstart Protect with my older daughter when she was a baby. I use Goodstart Soothe with DD2 and it works well.
