Small Update: Anyone have a breast lift and augmentation at the same time?
Forgive the incognito user name. I'm an active poster, but I haven't even told my family I'm considering this!
I've had 2 kids, and after crazy weight gain and loss from both pregnancies (like 50+ lbs) and breastfeeding, my boobs (and belly) are in sad shape.
I've already had one consult with a great surgeon, but he wont do a lift and an augmentation at the same time. He wants to do them at separate times, which ups the cost and my time off from work. It's hard to be discreet about a personal decision when I have to request blocks of time off from work, especially after a 12 week maternity leave in the last year.
I'm going for another consult with another surgeon in 2 weeks.
I'm just wondering if it's the norm for doctors to do these two procedures separately. The first surgeon def said I need a lift, no doubt about it. But I'm so deflated with no fullness up top that implants are needed to get the look I want.
Both consults are in western Suffolk, but the procedures will be in Nassau, Garden City area.
Thanks. Please FM me if you don't feel comfortable sharing publicly.
------ Small update below ------

Yes I did. Wasn't an issue at all. I saw Dr. Kneessy at Suffolk Plastic Surgeons in E.Setauket.

A friend of mine did in February. I don't know the name of her doctor but it was someone in Great Neck.

Re: Anyone have a breast lift and augmentation at the same time?
Thank you both for responding.
I really liked the doctor I met with, so it kind of knocked the wind out of my sails when he said he wont do both procedures at the same time.
I will have to see what Dr. #2 says in a couple of weeks.

Re: Anyone have a breast lift and augmentation at the same time?
I had a breast lift/ reduction and a tummy tuck all in one shot. I used Dr James Romanelli in Huntington. Another member from LIF, who is no longer on here, had a lift and implants as well as a tummy tuck all at the same time with Dr Romanelli. You should go for a consultation with him. My breasts came out great. You can't really even see scars. I am very happy with his work.

Most plastic surgeons do both procedures at same time. Why go under anesthesia twice.

Re: Anyone have a breast lift and augmentation at the same time?
I wanted to give an update:
I met with three different surgeons to discuss breast augmentation and a possible tummy tuck.
All three doctors said I def needed a lift too. 2 out of 3 said they would do both (lift and augmentation) at the same time. After contacting the first surgeon, he said he would do both in one procedure if that's what I wanted to do.
The last doctor I met with was Dr. Romanelli, and I felt really comfortable with him, and more so with his office staff. All of the nurses/assistants I met with were so helpful and nice. I felt like I was talking to a friend about the procedures. I felt comfortable asking any possible question.
My stomach is in bad shape. I don't have a lot of fat on my stomach, but my abdominal muscles are extremely stretched out. I also have a very prominent umbilical hernia. It's very disheartening to hear from several different doctors that no amount of diet and exercise will every get my stomach back to where it used to be. It's just a fact. I can make it better than it is today on my own, but I wont ever have that, tiny tight tummy without some "help".
At this point I'm def leaning toward a breast lift/aug and a tummy tuck. My biggest concern is taking off time from work. Right now I'm looking at only taking a week and a half off from work. There is no 'good' time to be out from work for an extended period. Any time off at all wont be received well, especially after a maternity leave.
I'd love to hear from those who had this type of surgery, specifically both breast and tummy, and how they felt after 10 days.

My friend worked for Dr Romanelli(shes an estetician) and has a ton of respect for him. Good luck!

Re: Small Update: Anyone have a breast lift and augmentation at the same time?
I had all 3 done last year. The hardest part of the recovery was the tummy tuck. It was definitely a challenge not to push myself and take it easy. And I actually popped an internal stitch because of it. So it took a little longer to recover. The breast aug/lift was nothing!
ETS: I had a modified tummy tuck.

Re: Small Update: Anyone have a breast lift and augmentation at the same time?
I had the breast reduction and lift along with the tummy tuck all at the same time.
I would say that by 10 days, you could easily do a desk job. I wouldn't lift much until at least 3 weeks.
The tummy tuck pain, I would say is similar to a c section. I also had severe hernia and muscle separation. I had a drain for a few days.
The breast surgery was not painful, just creepy. I was afraid to lift my hands above my head for a while.
I researched the procedures and doctors before I picked Dr Romanelli, for 4 years.
You wont regret it.

Re: Small Update: Anyone have a breast lift and augmentation at the same time?
I only had augmentation and I needed about a week to feel normal
then 3 weeks after that to feel back to my regular self
doing every day little things was the hard part- opening a door, flushing the toliet
but things got better and easier- I went under the muscle- so that was where the pain was coming from- you really need those chest muscles
