would you like this as a baby shower gift? be honest
My best friend is pregnant and i couldn't be more excited for her. Her shower is a long way off, but I'm trying to gather ideas now for some special & unique gifts. I like to get stuff off the registry but also have some special touches, too.
I had this idea of having a picture book created filled with pictures of her and her husband and their parents.
The beginning of the book would be like.. Mommy met Daddy and fell in love (regular pics, wedding pics...) then mommy was pregnant (pregnant pic) and everyone was so excited! (and pics of the grandparents)
then maybe I would leave the last page blank so there could be a pic of their baby in it.
I thought it would be cute and they could share it with their child one day.
What do you think?

I think it's cute.
Or if your into making books then maybe make an outline of pages and make her baby book.
I do think your idea is really nice though.

ok good! I wasn't sure if it was too cheesy, 
I was going to have it printed it up somewhere so it would be like an actual hardcover book.

You can do a hardcover book on shutterfly.

I think its cute the only thing i worry about is using pictures that your friend might not like of herself. I hate myself in pics and hate the pics other people pic out of me

I think that's really cute. I tend to prefer more practical gifts, but this is something she can always look back on & share with her child & something nobody else will do for her.... so I say do it!

My MIL and SIL's actually did this for me for my baby shower. They called it the "Raya Book" and it started off talking about how DH and I fell in love and then got married and then got pregnant, with pictures for each phase. Then there were pics of family members to introduce her to them and each had a cute blurb, like how her cousins were going to protect her and how her grandmother (after having three boys and then 4 grandsons) was waiting for her princess. I loved it, and read it to everyone at the shower while crying. Its just something cute that I can have to show Raya that the family has loved her since before she was even born. I think they used my SIL's MAC book program to make it, but you can use snapfish or shutterfly.
