Kids bday party-- did you invite your friends w no kids?
We will have entertainment for DDs 1st bday in august and just trying to finalize the guest list. Do you think friends w no kids will be bored? Invite anyway and let them decide?

We invited anyway and they came. They had fun even though there was more entertainment for the kids. They were happy to just celebrate our DD's birthday with us.

Invite them. For the longest time, Dh and I were the ones without kids and we were always invited to parties of our friends children. I appreciated that they thought of us.

Invite them. My BFF doesn't have kids, and she has been invited to both DS's 1st & 2nd birthday parties. I think she would have been hurt if she were left out.

Re: Kids bday party-- did you invite your friends w no kids?
Yup... For close friends we do. Of course if it's at our house. Lol. Although I totally can see an adult BouceU party as well. Lol
Anyway, yes... The kids are busy with the entertainment so the adults with and without kids hang out. We usually do a mix of foods adults and kids would eat along with nuggets and fries. Always have alcohol at the house parties as well. Everyone has fun.

We are the only friends in our group with a kid...we invited all of our friendless kids bc otherwise none of our friends would have been invited.

Re: Kids bday party-- did you invite your friends w no kids?
Last year we did a backyard party for DD's 1st birthday and yes, we invited friends w/o kids. This year we are doing a kid party, basically a glorified playdate with pizza/cake at the end and I did not invite friends w/o kids.
ETA: If we were doing another backyard party I would have invited a few close friends w/o kids.

I invited a few friends without kids to DS's 1st birthday and I used to be the friend with no kids at children's birthday parties. I think for the 1st birthday it's nice to be invited, and you can reevaluate for other birthdays. plus leave it up to them to decide if they are comfortable coming or not.

We did, they are very close friends and are invited to all family functions. They had a nice time just socializing and celebrating with us.

Kids bday party-- did you invite your friends w no kids?
We had DD's 1st birthday at Gymboree, so we only invited our friends/family with kids. We had two of our childfree friends/family members that were insulted that they weren't invited.

Re: Kids bday party-- did you invite your friends w no kids?
For the 1st party, I did. All the other parties were kid oriented so I did not. I felt it was just asking for gifts. We did move OOS though and only have family friends locally now. If we were still in NY, I would probably have invited a few non-parent friends if they showed interest in celebrating with us.

Kids bday party-- did you invite your friends w no kids?
For me it would depend on the party.
If it's at a kiddie place, I say leave them out. If it's at a restaurant or your home, invite them. I don't think any child free adult wants to stand around bounce U, well at least I wouldn't.
That said, we had a few friends who were insulted we did not invite them to Nunley's Carousel last year from DS firsts birthday. We could only fit so many people so we cut friends without kids - I figured they'd understand and be grateful. But turns out not all were.
