How do I get rid of fruit flies in my kitchen???
Ugh, they are disgusting! We had a banana that was on its way out the other day and that attracted them... I obviously threw it out, but now every time I take out a fruit or something sweet, wham, they're back! If I leave one dirty dish in my sink... they swarm. How do I get rid of these suckers? It's been a good 3-4 days since I threw that banana out. TIA!

I have these from the dollar store. The sticky tape unwinds and you hang this.

I use plain vinegar and dish soap in a bowl and it works like a charm. Gross, but it works.

THANK YOU!! I'm going to try the vinegar and soap. Do they just get stuck in it? Nasty!

Vinegar/dish soap is good. I've also heard that a glass of wine left out overnight can do the trick.

Sometimes it can be food caught in your sink pipe that is keeping them there. Maybe pour some draiin-o down there just in case.

Could also be drain flies. Try pouring very hot water down the drain.

if its the drain, I always use a cup of bleach and hot water down the drain...that usually works for me

They like to live in the sink drains....pour some bleach down the drain and then stop up the drain with a towel overnight. kills them all. if you still see them do the other sinks in your house
