Smorgasbord in Amish country

Has anyone eaten at one of this when visiting Amish country? We are going next weekend and was thinking of doing one for dinner and then going out after for a drink somewhere. Are they good? We have been to Amish country a few times and have never gone to one. But I always seem them all over. Im not a big fan of buffets. I'd assume these are better than just going to an old country buffet, right?

There is one I read about called Litiz family cupboard. I read that even locals go there. I have also heard of Millers and would consider that too.

Its all fresh food, right? Not canned stuff like at an old country buffet?

LOL what is with the obsession with Old Country Buffet? Amish smorgasbords are amazing and use the freshest food available...it's Amish country...they don't eat canned crap.

I know the Amish wouldn't. But I wasn't sure if these were actually amish or mennonite owned or more done for tourists by random people. lol.

you HAVE to go to Shady Maple Smorgasbord. It is about 25 min away from Dutch Wonderland area but we seriously go to PA a few times a year just to eat lol. Shady Maple and Millers are the best. You must try breakfast and dinner at both places. But Shady Maple is beyond huge. I have no idea why it hasn't been on TV yet.
