Do you take a DHA supplement with your prenatal vitamin?

Re: DHA supplement?
My prenatal vitamin includes DHA. You can buy DHA seperately or with your prenatal vitamin

Re: DHA supplement?
There are various ways that they produce DHA and some have a lot of chemicals. I did reasearch with my other pregnancies (preggo with baby #3 now) and each time have seleted the Nordic Naturals brand. Definitely read up on DHA before selecting.

Re: DHA supplement?
I was previously using the dha that came with my prenatal but when I asked the nurse at my dr's office for a refill, they suggested I switch to pure fish oil gel caps. They are supposedly much better than just taking in the dha alone.
eta: I take a very pure form which is free of mercury, if you decide to take fish oil just make sure it's pure.

Re: DHA supplement?
I take the NatureMade brand which is one giant gel capsule with the DHA in it. I like it because it doesn't have the nasty aftertaste & it's only one pill.

I do the same. I take New Chapter Wholemega Prenatal. Its very pure, from wild salmon, sustainable fisheries, etc.
