Rheumatoid Arthritis
Anyone have any good home remedies for Rheumatoid Arthritis?? I have not had a flair up in over 3 years and the dr. cant see me till July... My right knee has gotten so bad that i can no longer bend it and the pain is unberable. I've been taking Alieve and icing it as much as i can but its not helping at all. I have a toddler at home and i work with 5 year olds so staying off it is pretty much imposable lol...

Rheumatoid Arthritis
Hi..Ive had RA for 5 years and about 6 months ago it started getting very very bad. I also have small children and work. I decided to change my diet about a month ago bc most meds ive tried I had bad side effects and I was also living on Aleve 2x a day.
I removed Gluten and all nightshades (potatoes, tomatoes, spinach) and I can not believe how much better i feel. The fatigue from RA is gone and i havent had a flare. When i have gluten now i know right away in my joints. Its not always easy to eat this way but soooo worth it. Good luck!

Re: Rheumatoid Arthritis
My sister has RA and similar to pp, she is gluten free. She is also dairy free and vegan. Red meat causes a lot of flair ups in her joints. She also takes turmeric which I also take for my carpal tunnel and I have no pain.

Re: Rheumatoid Arthritis
My sister has and she also tries to avoid all alcohol and caffeine.
She also is constantly drinking water and feels like by staying hydrated all the time, really helps.
Also have you considered doing yoga?

Re: Rheumatoid Arthritis
Definitely go GF, it causes a lot of inflammation. I would also try and cut out dairy. Start taking fish oil vitamins and drinking green smoothies. Make sure the vitamins you take are enteric coated. These coated vitamins will not break down in your stomach but rather your large intestines which is what you want. I would also probably cut out red meat and stick to a high protein diet.
