Re: Potterybarn backpack review??
DD had a pretty one with butterflies and a lunch box from them last year. It held up beautifully and she was pretty rough with it. I plan to get her one for 1st this year. A large number of the girls this past year had Pottery Barn backpacks. They seem to be very popular. Other than a little dirt the bag is in perfect condition.

So why are you going to get her a new one?

Potterybarn backpack review??
We have had the same one since pre k. The small. The strap that connects the lunch box severed and their customer service was not helpful. I sewed it back on. She is going into first and I will get her a new one was that is the large size. Hopefully we don't have the same issue. She loves the patterns. Other than that it has held up.

I think it is nice to have a new backpack every year. Everyone when I was in school had a new one. The kids here all have nice new bags in Sept I notice. I think it is part of a new year is getting a new bag. We use the old ones for the pool, sleep overs at grandmas etc. I used to get s new LL Bean bag every year when I was in school.

Re: Potterybarn backpack review??
I got DS one last year for Pre-K. It has been thrown on the bus. Stomped on. Rained on. Not a tear or a rip. Money well spent as some friends of mine have been through three already!
I will say that I got the large size and at nearly 4 y/o he is only just starting to grow into it

for kindergarten what size???
I would say full size. That is what both my kindergarten and preschool told us to get. They said not to get a small one. You want to make sute it fits regular size folders and notebooks.

We used the small and it was fine. Not the mini, the next size up. It fits folders and notebooks. Actually holds quite a bit. If you are planning on using it for years to come though, I would get the large.

We got the small. DD is entering first grade. It was smaller than I'd expected but I think it will be fine. If it gets her through 1 & 2 I will be happy. I think she will need something bigger for 3rd grade/

DD has one. It held up great through 2nd grade and she'll use it again for 3rd. I'm ordering my son's this week for kindergarten and am getting the large.

My daughter got hers in K and will be using it in first. Great back pack. I got her the large and it was a little too big, but managable...should be good for first grade
