If you have ulcerative colitis, pleas come in
I was just diagnosed with this. How do you manage it? My dr gave me a prescription called Laila that seems to be helping. He says I will be on it long term. I am thrilled to be feeling better!!! But I do prefer to go a more natural route, like changing my diet, if possible.
How do you manage it? Tia

You might take pro-biotics to repopulate your gut with good bacteria. You also should search the NY Times for a long article in its magazine section last week about ulcerative colitis and how gut fecal implants maybe the way to cure it. It's fascinating. There is so much new information and research on how important the health of our gut is to our overall health.

SIL had to overhaul her diet to get on the right track. She went to see a holistic doctor and found out she was allergic to a laundry list of items, after removing those foods from her diet, she was able to really get herself in a better place.

My husband has this. His first/only flare-up was really bad, really really bad, a few years ago. He took the medicine, which he would told he would need to take on a long term basis. BUT after taking it for a while, he stopped the meds and hasn't had an episode sine (knock on wood).
