MFM at Good Sam (Dr. El Kady's office)
Has anyone seen Dr. Wu? I had a consultation with her today and I was supposed to see Dr. El Kady, per the recommendation of my ob. It wasn't a bad visit but I didn't leave there feeling very confident.
Any experiences you could share would be great, FM me if you want.
Please don't quote, I will take this down later.
Thanks!

MFM at Good Sam (Dr. El Kady's office)
I saw Dr. El Kady for both of my pregnancies. At the end of my most recent pregnancy (Dec/Jan) I saw Dr. Wu a few times because Dr. El Kady was away. She was amazing and so thorough. I had complications at that time with ds's nsts. She reassured me and monitored me to ensure he was fine. Then even continually called my ob to give the ok to csection me a week earlier. Finally, after I was admitted to l & d for monitoring, she called me that night, which was a Friday, to see how I was feeling. I absolutely adore Dr El Kady and am extremely fond of Dr. Wu as well. They both know their stuff.

Re: MFM at Good Sam (Dr. El Kady's office)
Thanks for the response. I had preeclampsia with my first pregnancy and am really "gun shy" as I get ready to try for another...lots of trauma surrounding the first. My OB wanted me to see El Kady because she thinks she is supportive and nurturing as well as really on top of things. I just did't feel that vibe today and I was suprised that I was with Dr. Wu when I specifically requested Dr. El Kady. If I am going to drive 45 minutes to them and trust them with my life and baby 2's life, I need something more. Based on your experiences, is my ob's assessment of the practice correct?
(maybe this is a dumb question...I'm sorry!)

I could have written this myself. Dr. Wu was amazing! I was one of her first patients so I was a little nervous because I was already seeing El Kady for a couple of months, but she turned out to be such a blessing. She even came to see me and DD in the NICU after she was born.

Where are you coming from? Dr El Kady also has a practice at St Charles and she is the only one at that office. I never had any doubt with Dr. El Kady and Dr Wu. I have a lung condition plus other variables that make me high risk. They sent me for all of the necessary testsfor myself and my babies includig fetal echos, etc. Because I was having issues at the end, I was seen there every week. In my case, they were on top of everything.

Re: MFM at Good Sam (Dr. El Kady's office)
I can't speak to Dr. Wu but Dr. El Kady is amazing! She was a true blessing to me when I was pregnant and had a useless OB. She had another doctor with her (a male) at that time that I saw once and then told her and the staff I WOULD NOT see him again, only El Kady. They always accomodated me...even if I had to wait a long time. I would have waited days for her if need be. When we brought DD in to the office, about 6 weeks after she was born, all the staff STILL remembered my name. I think it is a great practice and would give it a second chance...and tell them you WANT to see El Kady. GL!

Didn't have a great experience with dr wu. She completely redeemed herself and as I continued to see her and dr el kady, made up for it, but feel free to fm me if you want specifics.

Out of curiosity, did Dr. Wu replace the male doctor there? I saw him alot when I was PG with DD and loathed him. My OB told me he was on the way out. IF we decide on another DC, I wasn't planning to go there because I disliked him that much. But if Dr. Wu replaced him, I might reconsider.

It is just the two of them now, no male doctor.
