Holiday Photos
Is anyone having a mini-session outside? I would love to find a photographer who is doing his/her pictures outdoors. Any ideas on who to contact would be great.
Also, I have an almost 4 month old...I think if we take the pictures in September she'll have grown so much by December. Thoughts?

Ds is just turning 6 months next week and the different between now and 4 months is huge. He's sitting up, laughing and smiling so much more... It seems a lot of the photographers I follow on FB are doing them in October/November. I believe Anne Hack is doing an outdoor shoot.

Oh, when I emailed her she had mentioned something about a tree farm out east, maybe she isn't doing that any more. I wanted to use her but the shoot is the same day we have a wedding in NJ.

Trust me don't do outdoors in December unless you don't mind a jacket/scarf/hat on. Even mid November is pushing it outdoors. Inside many photogs work up until end of November but most special minis end by mid November in order to allow time to edit/order before December since it takes 1-3 weeks for doing that.

Re: Holiday Photos
I've had to move outdoor minis indoors for the first 2 weeks of Nov before since it was too cold.. I think Im doing outdoor the last week of Oct and indoor the first week of Nov.

Re: Holiday Photos
Last year I had to reschedule my girls' outdoor holiday pics because they were sick. We ended up doing it mid-november and they were FROZEN!! I felt so bad and we couldn't do the full session because they were so miserable.
Danielle (from Lilac Blossoms) still got some great shots- but the poor girls were ice cubes.
ETA: Since you asked- this came up on my news feed last night- I just went back to find it. I don't vouch for the quality of the work as I've never used this photographer- but I thought of this when I read the OP
