Old IF member.. Meds question..

My best friend is currently starting the IVF process, and only has a certain amount of $$ towards the lifetime IVF process.

now the pharmacy called with the list of her meds and said it was $10K out of pocket this doesn't seem right to me, or does it?

My IVF meds this round came out 10k. Luckily, insurance covered most of it.

Unfortunately for your friend, that amount sounds right.

Did she shop around for prices? I think Freedom might be a little cheaper!

The meds are super expensive and she should shop around to find places that might be a bit cheaper. I know for PIO walgreens was cheap with the prescription card. She could also ask her RE to see if they have any meds that were donated. I donated some of my meds back.

Def shop around. I found Kraupners to be much much less than freedom - I am talking $150 less per vial of Menopur for example.
